      Description of problem:
For some reason my OpenVZ won't make use of cached/buffered ram, otherwise known as available ram. Instead it can only use the free ram. https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/820463251544211456/876989263940558938/hmm.JPG When it runs out of free ram it runs OOM, but in reality, the command free -m still has about 100 GB memory available!

I tried disabling swap, everything but nope. It just won't make use of cached memory.

Instead I've had to setup this command sync; echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches in a cronjob. It frees about 25GB out of the 100GB. It's very annoying to have to run this command for it to be able to use cached ram every minute or so. Plus, it doesn't free all cached ram resulting in a lot being wasted.
